ADC employee since 2013
B.A., State University of New York at Buffalo
Bio: After working in New York City for more than 25 years with organizations ranging from publishing, finance, telecommunications and non-profits to internet startups, Clark decided it was time to move to a warmer climate and apply his skills in an organization with a mission beyond simply generating profit for faceless holding companies. Since joining ACI in 2013, Clark has been developing a comprehensive branding and marketing strategy to ensure its continued growth as a fully-funded enterprise. Part of that strategy has been to transform the website into true ecommerce platform to make it easier for customers to buy ACI products. He has also joined several local business groups, such as the Tucson Metro Chamber and Local First Arizona, and participating in business events where he can regularly meet entrepreneurs and small business owners who are looking for affordable ways to launch or expand their enterprises. He enjoys showing these future business leaders how ACI can be a resource for them. For more than ten years, Clark served as internet marketing director at United Business Media, helping this international, high-tech trade publisher navigate through the internet revolution. Prior to UBM, he held various marketing positions including a six-year tenure as marketing manager at IEEE Communications Society. There he learned, first-hand – from the technology visionaries who created the internet – what the digital communications revolution would mean for enterprises around the world. As an early adopter he continues to demonstrate how the move from analog to digital improves marketing effectiveness while driving down costs. Clark earned his BA in Philosophy and Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has obtained several professional certifications and designations throughout his career. With his wife Nancy he enjoys the diverse cultural offerings in the Phoenix area including the opera, symphony, theater, museums and many of the wonderful events at the Musical Instrument Museum near his home. They regularly travel to each coast to visit family and friends. For several years they have served as volunteer CASAs (court appointed special advocates) for Maricopa Family Court, where they mentor and advocate for children in the foster care system.
