Challenge: In 2019, airlines around the world were adding flights and upgrading their fleets. As a provider of repair and overhaul (MRO) services to aircraft owners, operators and lessors aircraft, Ascent Aviation Services was unable to keep up with all of the ASA-100 certified used parts requests coming their way. Management needed to add staff in a very tight job market outside of Tucson, AZ.

Solution: Working with the Labor Partnership team, possible workers were identified within the ASPC Tucson prison complex who met Ascent's requirements. They now employ 28 inmates at their Ascent's Marana, AZ facility. These inmates learn real-world jobs skills as they perform maintenance and repairs.
