I would like to express my gratitude to Arizona Correctional Industries by stating I have a new found confidence finding employment upon my release from DOC. When I first found out I had the opportunity to work an ACI job learning a trade and saving money, it was a big relief.

I’m taking this time to try and put into words how the ACI program has influenced my time here in DOC and to try and express my gratitude for the experience and opportunity they’ve provided me.

My experience working for ACI has been both positive and beneficial. I’ve been working maintenance at Fiesta Canning for almost two years. I’ve always been a mechanic so I can’t really say that I gained new mechanical skills. I did, however, learn to operate in a fast paced work environment, which in itself is a valuable skill.

I’ve also developed a good work ethic. I wake up early every day and go to work. I very rarely miss work. On occasions that I do miss work, it’s never unexcused.
